Diamond being a natural stone often contains unique internal characteristics, which are natural "birthmarks” in the form of minute traces of other minerals or non-crystallized carbon or structure being altered due to extreme high temperature and pressure deep under the earth. These natural imprints are like a small time-capsule telling the story of the formation of the earth. Natural diamonds without any inclusions are extremely rare hence most valuable.
To determine a diamond’s clarity, it is viewed under 10-power magnifying loupe by a trained profession. The quantity, color, size and position of these internal characteristics determine the clarity of a diamond that makes each diamond unique. The fewer and smaller the inclusions, the less they will interfere with the passage of light, allowing the diamond to sparkle more brilliantly. |
