The Diamond Federation of Hong Kong, China (DFHK) is a non-profit organisation aiming to protect the integrity of diamonds and the interests of consumers by standardizing business practices. It joins forces with two long-established associations in Hong Kong, namely the Diamond Importers Association (1959) and the Hong Kong Diamond Bourse (1985). Since January 2000, the DFHK has undertaken its missions to maintain Hong Kong’s reputation as the "World Diamond Centre” and promote quality services and consumer rights. Consequently, the Integrity Pledge Scheme and the Natural Diamond Quality Assurance Mark Scheme have been launched to ensure an ethical and professional image for the trade and for DFHK members.
Lawrence Ma, Founding president of the DFHK explains that, "The DFHK will continue to fulfil a significant role in Hong Kong's diamond and jewellery trade as well as the trading hub in Asia. We are linking Hong Kong diamantaires with the mainland China and the global markets. The city itself is set to remain China's chief distribution hub and centre of expertise for exports. We look forward to providing a trusted platform to our members and those individuals who trade with us.

The
Integrity Pledge Scheme was launched to ensure an ethical and professional image of the trade. DFHK members are reputable jewelers who believe in protecting consumer interests and voluntarily commit to the Integrity Pledge Scheme introduced by the trade authority. Under this self-regulatory scheme for the diamond industry, members would mark on the sales invoice a true description of the diamond sold over 0.3 carat. Consumers therefore can enjoy their quest for diamond with confidence and with peace of mind in their Hong Kong shopping experiences.
